Citizen's Police Academy

The Willingboro police department offers a Citizen Police Academy open to all residents 21 years old or older. The purpose of the academy is to foster a better relationship, through education and training, between the citizens of Willingboro and their police department.

The class is held once a week for ten weeks. Training, communication, canine, domestic violence, patrol, S.W.A.T., detectives and recruiting are examples of some of the topics that are covered. Instruction consists of lectures, demonstrations, tours, and riding with a police officer on an eleven-hour shift.
