Sombor policeman Brane J. (40) committed suicide after leaving a farewell letter to his wife, and his body was found at the exit from the city towards Subotica. According to unofficial information, he came to the decision to take his own life and leave four children and a wife behind because of accumulated debts, and as "Blic" learns, it is about an award-winning police officer.

Brane J. was buried yesterday at the Great Orthodox Cemetery in Sombor, while the news of his suicide was still reverberating among the residents of this town.

We are talking about a police officer who received recognition from the mayor of Sombor on Police Day in 2014 for his achievements as a member of the MUP. On that occasion, he also received a wristwatch at the award ceremony.

It is not known what events after the success of his career led him to decide to take such a drastic step and take his own life after 9 years.

As the media reported, the youngest child he has with his current wife was just began to walk.

Let us remind you that the body of a police officer of the Sombor police station with a service pistol on the seat next to it was found at the exit from the city towards Subotica, i.e. Bezdan.

Sources close to the investigation wrote that the unfortunate man left a farewell letter. As soon as she found him, the wife informed the police, who immediately went in search of her colleague, but unfortunately, they were unable to save his life.

According to unofficial information, the unfortunate policeman was heavily in debt. The investigation will determine whether this made him decide to commit suicide.
