After a two-day search, policeman Goran P. (30) was found dead today with a gunshot wound near Mladenovac, the Serbian Police Union (SSP) announced. He said that the body of G.P. was transferred to the autopsy, that the investigation was completed and that, after receiving the results of the autopsy, it is expected that these first and unofficial findings will be confirmed.
The disappearance of Goran P. was noticed on May 23 in the afternoon, since he did not show up at work.
As stated in the announcement, a search was immediately organized in which police officers from New Belgrade and Mladenovac were involved. "The Serbian Police Union" sends its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased colleague and to all colleagues who knew him," the union announced.
