Marko Muruzovic

06/09/2016 - Muruzovic turned his hand on himself last Tuesday, and what led the young man to commit suicide is completely unknown even to his closest relatives.

He got married on August 30 last year, and on the same day he invited his closest circle of friends and best men to the apartment he rented with his wife in the Palilule settlement to solemnly mark it. When the guests left, he was left alone with his wife. We know for now that at one point, around three in the morning, he took his service pistol, went to another room and shot himself in the temple - says one of his colleagues.

Although the doctors of the Clinical Center fought to save his life for five whole days, he succumbed to severe head injuries and died on Sunday.

As his best friends say, nothing could have predicted that Marko, who after graduating from MUP high school, immediately started working in the police, first in Kragujevac and then in Knic, would turn his hand on himself.

Marko Muruzovic, who died tragically, left behind his wife Mira, who is a professor.

From his family, he has a father and mother, who live in the village of Pretoke, and a sister, who is married and has children. He had no children of his own.

What made him shoot himself in the head remained a secret that he took with him to the grave. He had no debts, he did not gamble, he had no credit. He was financially stable, he did not even have a permitted minus in the bank. He worked at first, after finishing school, in Kragujevac, and then he was transferred to the Knic police station, at his personal request, because he wanted to be closer to his parents - say the policemen.

As they say, when he got married, he rented an apartment where he lived with his wife. His parents helped him, he had food and everything from the village. He was a young and healthy man, a good colleague, he had never been to battlefields or crisis areas - say the policemen.

Muruzovic will be buried today at the cemetery in the village of Pretoke near Knic in the presence of family, friends and colleagues. He was otherwise a member of the Independent Police Union (NSP), whose representative he was for Knic.
