Police officer Marko Popovic (36), killed in a traffic accident that happened on Saturday on the Zlatibor highway, was buried at the Vlaovac cemetery in Sevojno.

According to the first data from the investigation, the car in which S. C. from Belgrade with his six-year-old son, under still unexplained circumstances, crossed into the left-hand traffic lane, moving from the direction of Uzice towards Zlatibor, and then hit a vehicle driven by Popovic. So far, it is only assumed that S. C. fell asleep at the wheel.

Kristina, Vladan and Lena were left without a father. Hardworking, smiling and dedicated to work, he was an exemplary father and colleague - said Popovic's friends who saw him off to his eternal rest. He is survived by his three children, his wife, and his mother, who buried the only child.

The casket with the remains passed through the guardrail of the honor platoon of the police. Many friends from Uzice, Sevojno, Cajetina said goodbye to the exemplary policeman, in addition to his family and fellow policemen.
