January 4, 2014. A 15-year commemoration of police officers Slavoljub Bozovic and Zoran Pavlicevic, who were killed on January 4, 1999 by Aleksandar Matic in an apartment in Mirijevo, was held at the Lesce cemetery in Belgrade yesterday.
Bozovic and Pavlicevic, together with Rodoljub Milovic, the current chief of the UKP (Criminalistic Police) of the Serbian Ministry of the Interior, came to arrest Matic on the fateful day on suspicion that he and several accomplices were involved in the murder of David Dukic. As soon as they entered the room, Matic shot and killed two operatives and severely wounded Milovic.

Inspector of the III Department
December 12, 2013. "It all looked like one of the usual actions. On January 4, 1999, inspectors came to arrest Aleksandar Matic, whom they were looking for, for the murder. The door was opened by the owner of the apartment and Bozovic, Pavlicevic and Milovic entered the room where Matic was sitting in an armchair. It was Bozovic's birthday that day. He came in first. He did not have time to say anything when Matic shot him in the head. The inspector fell. The next shot hit the unarmed Pavlicevic in the back. He then aimed at Rocko and fired three shots into his shoulder. Although badly wounded, Milovic managed to throw himself aside, shot at Matic and wounded him" - says the interlocutor of Kurir, who is familiar with this action.
Aleksandar Matic was sentenced to 21 years in prison for the murder of two police officers.
